The Greatest Cycle Race in the World.
This semester, I have completed essay term papers on history of the French sport. In my paper, I had to describe the major sport events that were founded in this country. One of them is the Tour de France. In this article, I would like to inform the reader about the Tour de France 2010.
But first of all, let me make a short introduction and say few words about this race for those who do not know what it is.
So, this race competition is one of the major sport events that are annually held in France and around nearby countries. The first tour was held in 1903 and contained five stages. The bicyclists started in Paris and had several stops in different cities of France (Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux and Nantes).
These days, this competition attracts sportsmen from all over the world and it is considered to be the most prestigious cycling race. The race lasts for three weeks with two days for a rest. The course is changed every day and the winner is defined at the very end of the race. The final stop of the course is situated in Champs-Élysées .
As I know a lot about this competition, I helped my sister with writing her custom essays online on the Tour de France that was held this year. So, it was held on 3 July starting in Rotterdam. The course was laid out through the Netherlands and Belgium and, as usually, was finished in France. The winner was Alberto Contador from Spain.
